Mechanical Design Engineer - Los Angeles

Job Description

CloudKitchens is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer in Los Angeles to support the design, construction, and maintenance of its kitchen spaces. The Mechanical Design Engineer will focus on engineering building systems, construction documentation, and vendor coordination, ensuring the functionality and efficiency of facilities. This role requires a strong background in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) and collaboration with various project disciplines.

Responsibilities include:

• Assisting with engineering building systems, including MEP, structural, and civil components.
• Creating detailed construction documents, drawings, and specifications.
• Performing system sizing calculations for various projects.
• Supporting product and vendor selection, including reviewing vendor equipment submittals.
• Collaborating on the Basis of Design development.
• Conducting site analysis to assess environmental factors and building constraints.
• Reviewing and commenting on EOR Construction Drawings.

The ideal candidate should possess:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Structural).
• 5-7 years of relevant work experience, with 3-5 years in a specialized domain.
• Experience working with MEP in commercial construction.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and construction documentation tools.
• Ability to analyze and optimize building systems for efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
• Experience with vendor coordination and construction administration.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
