Staff Engineer, Endpoint Agent

Halcyon is seeking a Staff Engineer to lead the design and development of their cross-platform endpoint agent. This role is instrumental in shaping the technical architecture and future direction of Windows, Linux, and macOS protection capabilities. The Staff Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor engineers, and champion technical excellence.

Role involves:

• Owning the technical vision and architecture of Halcyon’s cross-platform endpoint agent.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and implement anti-ransomware features.
• Leading complex, cross-platform engineering efforts.
• Mentoring and supporting the growth of engineers.
• Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues.
• Defining, implementing, and improving engineering processes and standards.
• Championing technical excellence and product quality.

Requirements:

• Experience developing high-quality code in Rust (preferred) or C++.
• Proven track record developing endpoint security products.
• Experience in a staff-level or principal engineering role.
• Expert-level knowledge in low-level systems, including kernel or driver development on Windows, Linux, or macOS.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
