Domo is experiencing rapid growth in Japan and is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Domo Japan team. Domo empowers employees to maximize the impact of data. Domo's AI and data product platform leverages AI and data for innovative applications, delivering tangible results.

The engineer will be responsible for designing and developing web applications on Domo's data analytics custom app platform. The ideal candidate will be passionate about solving business problems, possess strong planning, work ethic, and teamwork skills, and believe in creating high-quality experiences.

Role involves:

• Collaborating with clients, technical architects, and consultants to define functional requirements and structure of BI applications.
• Designing and developing web applications built on Domo's data analytics custom app platform.
• Developing strategies with other engineering teams to optimize the use and efficiency of Domo's data analytics custom app platform.
• Developing connectors for Japanese clients using Domo's connector development platform and third-party APIs from other service providers.
• Collaborating with global engineering teams to learn development and exchange ideas.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of software development experience in web application and server-side development.
• Expertise in web technologies: HTML, CSS, Javascript.
• Practical experience with front-end Javascript frameworks, preferably React + Redux.
• Experience architecting front-end web solutions.
• Ability to learn new technologies.
• Communication skills with both technical and non-technical members.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, and/or equivalent experience and education.
• Native Japanese, business-level English.
