Job Description
The ACLU is seeking a Legal Fellow to join the Women's Rights Project in New York, NY. This is a hybrid role requiring in-office presence two days a week. The Fellow will contribute to advancing gender equity through legal reform, working on issues such as pregnancy discrimination, sex-specific dress codes, and housing discrimination.
Role involves:
- Developing litigation and advocacy strategies.
- Conducting legal research and analysis.
- Drafting legal documents.
- Interviewing witnesses and potential clients.
- Managing summer legal internship program and supervising student interns.
Requirements:
- J.D. or expected J.D. by spring 2026.
- Commitment to public interest law and gender justice.
- Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.
- Ability to conduct complex legal analysis.
