Executive Director of Clinical Development

Job Description

Recursion, a TechBio company, is seeking an Executive Director of Clinical Development to lead oncology programs. The Executive Director will report to the VP of Clinical Development. This role involves developing first-in-class molecules in precision oncology, refining clinical development strategies, contributing to regulatory submissions, and providing medical expertise for research programs and business development. The position is based in New York City, requiring a hybrid work model with 50% of the time spent in the office.

• Overseeing the development of first-in-class/first-in-disease molecules in precision oncology
• Generating and refining the integrated clinical development strategy for Recursion’s oncology medicine portfolio from IND to POC
• Contributing to regulatory submissions and participating in regulatory agency meetings
• Utilizing therapeutic area expertise to enhance innovation and efficiency in clinical trial design and execution
• Delivering medical, disease-specific, and development perspective into specific research programs or broader research initiatives
• Providing scientific and medical expertise for business development assessments and due diligences

• Medical Degree required and MD/PhD preferred
• 5+ years of experience developing, executing and analyzing Phase 1/2 Oncology trials
• Deep knowledge and understanding of oncology and genetic diseases
• Strong networks and connections to external experts and key opinion leaders in oncology
• Effective skills directed toward driving collaboration, achieving results, influencing, and resolving conflicts
