Job Description

Practice Better is seeking a Full Stack Developer to join their team and contribute to the growth of their nutrition planning platform, That Clean Life, and its integration ecosystem. The Full Stack Developer will work within a cross-functional team, collaborating with Engineering, Product, Design, and Growth stakeholders to understand customer needs and deliver innovative solutions.

The role involves developing software solutions, building user-facing features, documenting code, assisting customer support, improving performance, and adding analytics and monitoring to the service.

What this role involves:

  • Developing software solutions based on management direction and customer feedback.
  • Building new user-facing features from database models to APIs and UI components.
  • Documenting code and procedures for new and existing features.
  • Assisting the customer support team with technical requests, bug reproduction, and issue resolution.
  • Improving performance and optimizing the stack by applying better patterns and protocols.
  • Adding analytics, monitoring, and alerts to the service.
  • Collaborating with Product Management and Design to achieve company goals.

Requirements:

  • 3-6+ years of experience in full-stack software development.
  • Strong Ruby and JavaScript fundamentals and experience with MVC SPA frameworks.
  • Ability to identify problems and independently solve them.
  • Commitment to quality and writing tests.
  • Experience working in customer-focused environments.
  • Strong writing and communication skills.
  • Openness to constructive feedback.
  • Ability to take substantial features from concept to shipping as the sole engineer.
  • Openness to mentor, present, and share knowledge.
  • Ability to execute in a timely manner.
  • Knowledge of the Health & Wellness industry is an asset.
