Senior Java Engineer

Job Description

Helmes is looking for a Senior Java Engineer to contribute to the modernization of a critical medical information system. This role involves working directly with the client and collaborating with their internal team. The engineer will perform both backend and frontend testing tasks as needed, utilizing Java, REST/SOAP services, MSSQL, and other relational databases.

• Working directly with the client and collaborating with their internal team
• Performing both backend and frontend testing tasks as needed
• Working daily with Java, REST/SOAP services, MSSQL, and other relational databases

• At least 5 years of software development experience, including 3+ years with Java and JavaScript
• Estonian language proficiency at the B2 level
• Experience with X-Road is a plus
• Comfortable working with agile methodologies, test-driven development, and design patterns
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
• Self-motivated and enjoys autonomy
