Job Description
Workato is seeking a Solutions Consultant to join their team in Tokyo, Japan. This role involves being a key advisor and advocate for Workato’s products and automation best practices, helping prospective customers achieve their business outcomes. The Solutions Consultant will actively manage the solutioning and evaluation phases of the sales process and will be an integral member of the account teams.

Responsibilities include:
  • Being a trusted advisor to customers, realizing Workato’s value propositions.
  • Owning the technical diagnosis, prescription, and validation phases of the sales cycle.
  • Teaming with AEs and Solution Architects to evangelize the platform.
  • Articulating business, technical, and architectural concepts to various audiences.
  • Selling the value of Workato products through various channels.
  • Creating and delivering custom product demonstrations.
  • Performing business and technical discovery with customer prospects.
  • Managing and executing technical workshops and proof of concepts (POCs).
  • Responding to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs.
  • Collecting feedback and channeling it to Product Management and Engineering.
  • Representing the product at field events.
  • Supporting Marketing with developer marketing and evangelism activities.

Requirements:
  • BA/BS or equivalent education (Computer Science degree is a plus).
  • 3-7 years of pre-sales experience in a SaaS/iPass organization or equivalent.
  • Hands-on experience with automation technologies, middleware, and integration architecture.
  • Hands-on development experience with SAP PI/PO/CPI, Worked on SAP RFM and IDocs based integrations
  • Experience with cloud technologies - iPaaS, SaaS applications, cloud infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of Ruby programming plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Ability to lead architectural discussions.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
