Job Description
Workato is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join their team in Warsaw, Poland. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building high-performance, scalable, enterprise-grade applications, with a focus on OpenSearch.   • Design and develop high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems.
  • Contribute to all phases of the development life cycle.
  • Write well-designed, testable, efficient code.
  • Evaluate and propose improvements to existing systems.
  • Maintain and evolve application cloud infrastructure (AWS).
  • Maintain and evolve Kubernetes clusters.
  • Implement infrastructure hardening according to compliance and security requirements.
  • Develop monitoring, logging, tracing, and alerting solutions.
  • Scale OpenSearch clusters to handle heavy workloads.
  • Implement and manage effective sharding strategies.
  • Tune OpenSearch performance, including JVM settings and cache optimization.
  • Design robust disaster recovery solutions.
  • Implement and optimize vector search capabilities for ML applications.
  • Deploy and manage self-hosted OpenSearch clusters in Kubernetes environments.
Requirements:
  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of industry experience.
  • Experience with public cloud infrastructure providers (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud).
  • Experience with Terraform and Docker.
  • Good understanding of Linux networking and security.
  • Exceptional understanding of Kubernetes concepts.
  • Experience with GOlang/Python/Java/Ruby (any) and databases such as PostgreSQL.
  • Readiness to communicate in English.
