Galaxy is seeking a Senior Desktop Support professional to join their team in Hong Kong. This role involves providing direct and remote end-user support to the firm and its users globally. What this role involves: - Managing day-to-day IT operations for the Hong Kong office.
- Overseeing the work of a Level 1 support engineer.
- Providing high-touch support to executive users and responsive trade support.
- Delivering hands-on technical support across hardware, software, and network issues.
- Leading local device rollouts, onboarding/offboarding, and hardware lifecycle management.
- Coordinating with global IT teams to align on standards and processes.
- Managing and prioritizing the local IT support ticket queue.
- Providing off-hours support as needed.
Requirements: - Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience.
- At least one technical certificate (A+, Network+, Microsoft MTA, Cisco, etc.) is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in technical support, including 3+ years of deskside or trade floor experience.
- Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac OS operating systems.
- Hands-on experience with MDM platforms (Airwatch, Jamf, Microsoft Intune).
- Solid understanding of Office 365, Active Directory, and networking fundamentals.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of local IT operations.
