Job Description
Canonical is seeking an IHV Alliance Sales Director to lead a team and drive success with IHV partners worldwide. This role involves building strategic relationships, increasing market share, and leading business interactions from engineering to executive levels. The IHV Alliance Sales Director will work closely with strategic partners across their complex organizations to engage with their innovation teams and ensure that they consider and integrate Ubuntu stacks and solutions. They will often run customer workshops focused on particular initiatives at that customer, attend sales events, give public presentations and lead executive engagements.
Role involves:
- Building strategic relationships with IHV partners
- Growing awareness of open source capabilities on Canonical Ubuntu
- Negotiating contracts and commercial business terms
- Leading partnerships in APAC, EMEA, and the Americas
- Working closely with marketing, sales engineering, and product management
- Delivering on targets and providing a voice of the partner
- Leading executive interlocks between IHV and Canonical leadership
- Traveling regularly to drive partnerships in person
Requirements:
- Experience in alliance or indirect sales management roles
- Autonomous, disciplined, hands-on mentality
- Ability to capture customer requirements and create opportunities
- Passionate about Ubuntu products and mission
- Comfortable in fast-paced environments with measurable goals
- Experience with Linux, virtualization, containers, and cloud technologies
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
