Job Description

Veeam, the global market leader in data resilience, is building a talent pool for future Technical Support Engineer positions specializing in Veeam Backup and Replication (VBR). This on-site role, based in San Jose, Costa Rica, involves providing technical assistance to IT professionals, utilizing troubleshooting skills and product knowledge to resolve complex technical issues.

The role involves:

  • Performing troubleshooting and analysis, including log file investigation.
  • Acting as a technical focal point in relationships with fellow IT Professionals.
  • Taking ownership of customer issues from start to resolution.
  • Troubleshooting Veeam products and third-party components.
  • Documenting all customer interactions accurately in the CRM tool.

Veeam expects candidates to have:

  • Fluency in English (reading/writing/speaking).
  • Advanced user or administrative level experience with Windows OS and enterprise Linux OS.
  • Practical knowledge of TCP/IP and networking configuration/troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of VMware ESX(i), Microsoft Hyper-V, Microsoft Exchange server administration, and Database engines (SQL/Oracle) is a plus.
  • Ability to quickly learn and explain technical information.
  • Excellent time management skills.
