Mid-level Java AI Developer

Job Description

Capco is seeking a Mid-level Java AI Developer to join its Technology Delivery Team. The ideal candidate will possess practical knowledge of agile development methodologies and engineering best practices, contributing to the quality and implementation of software products for Capco's customers.Role involves:

• Developing and optimizing Java-based applications that integrate Generative AI models.
• Working with APIs and SDKs from OpenAI, Hugging Face, Google Gemini, or other GenAI platforms.
• Building microservices and APIs to serve GenAI-powered functionalities at scale.
• Collaborating with data scientists and AI engineers to fine-tune and deploy custom language models.
• Optimizing GenAI solutions for performance, cost-efficiency, and security in cloud environments.
• Implementing prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and AI pipeline optimizations.
• Staying up to date on emerging LLMs, vector databases, and AI tooling.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of professional experience in Java development.
• Proficiency in Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with LLM APIs and frameworks such as OpenAI API, LangChain, or LlamaIndex.
• Experience integrating Generative AI models (e.g., GPT, LLaMA, Claude, Gemini) into applications.
• Experience working with vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Weaviate, FAISS) for RAG-based applications is a plus.
• Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and system performance optimization.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a passion for AI innovation.
• Willingness to work in the Maitland (Orlando) office 3 days per week.
