Temporary Manager in Training - Fairview Toronto

Job Description

Lush North America is seeking a Temporary Manager in Training to join their team in Fairview Toronto. This role is a second-in-command position, supporting the Store Manager in all business areas to ensure a strong customer experience, staff experience, shop operational excellence, and exceeding sales goals. The Manager in Training brings Lush’s Leadership Practices into all elements of business interactions with customers, fellow staff, and operations.

Responsibilities include:

• Collaborating with the team to exceed daily sales goals and ensure a unique and inclusive customer experience.
• Educating customers and staff on brand values and articulating Lush's position on ethical practices.
• Increasing product knowledge and making informed recommendations.
• Demonstrating strong business acumen and understanding of metrics, budgets, and reports.
• Supporting the team on the sales floor, answering questions, and motivating them to meet sales goals.
• Supporting staff growth through coaching and leading by example.
• Ensuring the team is inspired, motivated, and building strong relationships.
• Supporting the staffing of the shop with top-performing staff.
• Collaborating on plans to improve staff engagement, retention, and DEIB practices.
• Supporting the manager to keep the shop compliant with company standards.
• Supporting the training of the inventory team and managing ordering.
• Supporting the development of the team to maintain a clean and beautiful work environment.
• Ensuring the right number of staff are scheduled at peak times.

Requirements:

• 1-3 years of managing or supervising in a retail environment
• Excellent listening and communication skills
• Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent organization and time management skills
• Strong customer service, supervisory, and sales skills
• Knowledge and interest in skincare, natural beauty, and ethical business
• Ability to work flexible hours
