Data Engineer

Job Description

Lantern is seeking a Data Engineer to join its Data Engineering team and play a key role in building the data platform. The Data Engineer will contribute to the foundations of the platform, working with modules such as Observability, Lineage, Access Controls, and Parsing Engine. The ideal candidate will bring experience with Data Architecture, Pipelines, batch processing frameworks, and Data Modeling techniques to facilitate seamless Data Ingestion and Exports.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement robust, scalable, and high-performance data pipelines.
• Implement Data Ingestion, transformation, and Data Quality features.
• Collaborate with Data Architect, and Business Analysts in building data models.
• Design, develop, and maintain robust data export solutions.
• Support production jobs and mitigate issues in a timely manner.
• Write unit, integration, and functional tests for new features.
• Foster a culture that embraces continuous learning and Innovation.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer.
• 2+ years of Cloud Experience: Azure (preferred)/AWS/GCP.
• Proficiency in programming languages like Python(preferred), Java etc.
• Experienced with building Data Models, SQL, and performance tuning.
• Experience working with Big Data technologies: Spark, Databricks or other frameworks.
• Knowledge of Healthcare Data Standards like HL7, X12 EDI, FHIR.
• Strong communication skills.
