Job Description
OneTrust is seeking a Senior Counsel, Labor & Employment to join their team. This role will report to the Senior Director, Assistant General Counsel, Global Labor & Employment and will primarily support the Americas region, with a focus on the U.S. and Canada. The Senior Counsel will provide advice and counsel to the People team on employment relations matters, ensuring prompt and thorough follow-through. They will also advise on issues related to recruiting, diversity and inclusion, performance management, leaves of absence and accommodations, internal investigations, compensation and benefits, immigration, contingent workers, and reductions in force.Role involves:
  • Handling employment-related disputes.
  • Sourcing and managing outside counsel on labor and employment matters.
  • Liaising with key stakeholders across functions.
  • Evaluating, iterating, and scaling employment practices and policies.
  • Drafting, reviewing, and updating employment related agreements, handbooks, and templates.
  • Conducting audits and employment classification reviews.
  • Developing and conducting training and programs.
  • Monitoring legislation and regulations.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 8 years of employment law experience.
  • Membership in good standing with a U.S. state bar.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • A thoughtful, business-minded approach to providing legal counsel.
