Rocket Lab is seeking a Software Engineer to join their team in Auckland, New Zealand. The Software Engineer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining software solutions that manage and control configuration data for the Neutron launch vehicle program. This role ensures the completeness and correctness of configuration data across various teams.Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain software tools and applications for configuration data management.
Implement and enforce data management best practices and standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and understand configuration requirements.
Ensure the accuracy and integrity of configuration data across different environments and systems.
Develop automated processes to manage the deployment and updating of configuration data.
Perform regular audits and quality checks to ensure compliance with internal and external standards.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to configuration data management.
Provide documentation and training to other team members on configuration management processes and tools.
Requirements:
Bachelor, Master, or PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
Proven experience in configuration data management and software engineering.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or C++.
Experience with tools like Git, TeamCity, or Ansible
Familiar with a Linux based development environment
Strong understanding of database design and management.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
