Associate Technical Artist - Procedural

Job Description

Hangar 13, a 2K development studio, is seeking an Associate Technical Artist to support the creation and maintenance of procedural tools and assets. The ideal candidate will collaborate with senior team members to understand project requirements and contribute to the development of procedural content pipelines. This role involves supporting the development of procedural assets to streamline art workflows, focusing on performance and scalability.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with senior team members to understand project requirements.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of procedural content pipelines.
• Support the development of procedural assets to streamline art workflows.

Requirements:

• Educated in Technical Art related field specifically aimed towards proceduralism
• Strong knowledge of SideFX Houdini and/or Unreal Engine PCG workflow
• Experience with a scripting language, preferably Python
• Foundational knowledge of object-oriented programming
• Experience with industry standard creative software - 3DMax, Maya or Blender
• Ability to quickly understand tasks and complete them with support
• Familiar with Photoshop, Substance Painter and Substance designer
• Art skills including experience with modeling, texturing, and shading for games.
• Familiar with version control software, preferably Perforce
• Strong ability to learn new areas of development
• Strong team collaboration and communication skills
• Good time management skills.
• Creative problem-solving skills.
