Senior International Payroll Specialist - Fixed term-contract

Groupon is seeking a Senior International Payroll Specialist to lead its global payroll operations. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate, compliant, and timely payroll delivery across multiple countries, working closely with in-country payroll partners, finance teams, HR, and external vendors. This role involves driving continuous improvement and excellence in international payroll processes.

• Managing end-to-end payroll processes for various countries.
• Partnering with local providers to maintain consistency and compliance.
• Ensuring adherence to local, state, federal, and international payroll regulations.
• Collaborating with the Global Head of Payroll to identify and implement process improvements.
• Serving as a primary point of contact for payroll-related queries.
• Preparing regular and ad hoc payroll reports and analyzing data for trends.

Requirements:

• Proven track record in payroll management with a focus on international payroll operations.
• Deep understanding of payroll-related compliance, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.
• Prior experience working with global payroll vendors and systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, HR, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Technical proficiency in payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Workday, SAP), Excel, and reporting tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
