Job Description

Talkdesk is seeking a Vice President of Sales - Enterprise to lead and build the US Enterprise Sales organization. The ideal candidate will manage, coach, and mentor both people managers and independent contributors, overseeing the strategy and planning for the entire customer lifecycle. This role involves delivering best-in-class customer retention and growth metrics, using a data-driven approach to building pipeline and growth plans.

The Vice President of Sales will engage deeply with customers, attending QBRs, facilitating thought leadership, and establishing close relationships with executives. They will serve as a brand ambassador for Talkdesk, championing CX values and collaborating with Product, Marketing, Channel, and CSM teams to advocate for customer needs.

Responsibilities include:

  • Building and leading the US Enterprise Sales organization
  • Managing, coaching, and mentoring both people managers and independent contributors
  • Overseeing the strategy and planning for the entire customer lifecycle
  • Delivering best-in-class customer retention and growth metrics
  • Using a data-driven approach to building pipeline and growth plans
  • Engaging deeply with customers
  • Serving as a brand ambassador for Talkdesk
  • Collaborating with various teams to champion customer needs

Requirements:

  • 10+ years in a customer-facing senior leadership role
  • 15+ years in sales roles
  • Experience working for a B2B SaaS company that has scaled successfully through rapid growth
  • Excellent people management skills
  • Experience building and scaling world-class teams
  • Understanding of large-scale application development and implementation
  • Experience working for a company that provides a ‘mission critical’ product
  • Experience in roles requiring heavy analytics and excel work
  • Experience with Salesforce Service Cloud and Zendesk is preferred
