Product Design Manager

Job Description

Tide is seeking a Product Design Manager to join its design team, which is integrated into mission teams called Speedboats. These teams focus on solving critical member problems through collaboration between Product Managers, Engineers, UX Writers, UX Researchers, Data Analysts, and Marketing.

The Product Design Manager will work with Product Managers, Technical Owners, and senior stakeholders to define strategic objectives and goals. This involves identifying and prioritizing product roadmap initiatives, de-risking initiatives through research and collaboration, and defining success metrics.

The role involves driving the implementation of strategic initiatives by delivering well-considered and validated outcomes, partnering with Product Engineering, and continuously improving ways of working. The Product Design Manager will also champion Design practices, promote Design thinking, and showcase the team's achievements.

The Product Design Manager will lead and mentor a small team of Product Designers, fostering a high-performing team, providing career development, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.

• Identifying & prioritising product roadmap initiatives

• Leading and mentoring a team of Product designers

• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in UX Design or Product Design
• Experience in a SaaS company
• In-depth knowledge of Product Design methodologies
• Proficiency in leading design reviews and using design tools like Figma
• Experience in user testing and research methodologies
• Experience of working in an agile scale-up environment
• Data-driven approach with experience using tools like Looker, Heap, GA, Hotjar
