Job Description
Pure Storage is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead their Productivity Org. This role is focused on build systems and infrastructure automation. The Senior Engineering Manager will drive infrastructure improvements to enhance software quality and reliability. They will champion test automation, shape testing strategies, and foster a culture of engineering excellence. The role involves owning software release SLOs, reporting on product quality, and driving organizational efficiency.Responsibilities:
  • Lead teams focused on build systems, infrastructure automation, and developer/test productivity.
  • Design and build software to increase developer productivity.
  • Create tools and automation for faster, simpler, and more effective testing and integration.
  • Optimize and manage resources and track against metrics.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify requirements and solve pain points.
Requirements:
  • 7+ years of technical management experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in a CI/CD, DevOps, SRE, or SDET role.
  • Proficiency in system testing with a strong emphasis on end-to-end automation.
  • Hands-on experience in automation using Python, Go, Java, Kotlin, or similar languages.
  • Experience in qualifying enterprise products in cloud and container platforms such as AWS, Kubernetes, Docker.
  • Familiarity with VMware, disaster recovery, and data protection.
  • Familiarity with SAN or NAS systems.
  • Ability to independently deploy and maintain test environments.
  • Expertise in managing projects throughout the SDLC.
  • Analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • BS in computer science or equivalent.
