Job Description
AlphaSense is seeking a Financial Data Application Specialist to join their team. This role sits at the intersection of sales, customer success, and technical implementation for AlphaSense’s financial data products. The ideal candidate will be entrepreneurial-minded and able to use client discussions to optimize go-to-market and product strategies. The Specialist will build relationships with prospects and clients, provide deep technical knowledge to demonstrate the value of AlphaSense’s financial data, and help drive adoption.
What this role involves:
- Assisting sales in demos and strategic trials of AlphaSense’s financial data solutions.
- Providing advanced training, customizations, and product consultations to clients.
- Building custom templates or other bespoke modeling tools for customers.
- Providing expertise in quantitative analysis for investment and valuation decisions.
- Creating how-to videos, enablement materials, product marketing content, and support articles.
- Identifying product opportunities and relaying feedback across the organization.
- Acting as an escalation point for product and support teams.
- Managing and resolving challenges related to the integration of modeling solutions into clients’ workflows.
Requirements:
- A client-facing professional with a superior ability to develop rapport with new people, and to maintain relationships, combined with a positive and proactive personality.
- Someone with a finance background who wants to spend time being client facing and actively engaged with senior buyside professionals
- Committed to becoming a SME for financial data across all industries, personas, and verticals
- A passion for technology and the capital markets
- Excellent in 360 degree communication and collaboration
- Able to distill and explain complex issues in simple terms.
- Genuine interest to learn how the different tools we've built contribute to our clients' processes, to help identify when a particular client should be using them, and to identify solutions that solve for a client’s needs
- Intrinsically motivated with the ability to contribute to a dynamic and entrepreneurial team culture.
- Strong time management and task prioritization skills.
- An independent problem-solver, making multiple efforts to solve problems on your own before escalating
- Comfortable working in ambiguity, and flexible enough to adapt as needed to drive customer happiness.
- Familiar with the institutional investor landscape, financial markets, and investment research
- Strong foundation in Finance, such as working towards your CFA or bachelor’s degree in Economics/Finance/Accounting OR 2-4 years of relevant experience in equity research, investment management, private equity, accounting or consulting with a strong desire to move towards client-facing positions
- Strong Excel abilities (nice to have: knowledge on how to use VBA in the context of Excel workbooks)
- Excellent communication skills, as you must manage relationships with high-profile fund managers and junior analysts alike
