Job Description
AlphaSense is seeking a Data Licensing Manager to join their Content organization. The ideal candidate will have a passion for financial and industry content and a deep understanding of how users consume it. This role involves managing relationships with content vendors, prospecting for new content sources, and negotiating commercial agreements. The Data Licensing Manager will also contribute to the successful launch of content into the market and monitor client usage.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing relationships with key decision-makers at content vendor firms.
- Prospecting for new potential content sources and partners.
- Negotiating commercial and contractual arrangements with new content vendor partners.
- Organizing and tracking vendor partner contracts for renewal timing and review.
- Assisting in project management of partnership initiatives with content providers.
- Analyzing competing products and gathering actionable feedback from customers.
- Contributing to the successful launch of content into the market.
- Monitoring client usage of content within AlphaSense products.
- Tracking industry trends and delivering competitive intelligence.
Requirements include:
- Experience at a financial information/technology content vendor or client.
- Solid relationships with and knowledge of a variety of content providers.
- Strong experience with commercial and contractual negotiation.
- Ability to review license grants and other terms within vendor partner agreements.
- Effective communication skills.
- Subject-matter expertise with content feeds, metadata, and assorted document and data delivery types.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Solid Excel/Word/PowerPoint/Google Sheets/Google Docs/Google Slides experience.
- B2B SaaS and/or enterprise software application company experience.
