Job Description
SurveyMonkey is seeking a Technical Accountant to join their finance team. This role involves supporting the business to ensure growth and health, with opportunities for learning across various areas. The Technical Accountant will report to the Senior Technical Accountant and should have a working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC Reporting, and internal controls.
Responsibilities include:
- Preparing internal and external financial reporting.
- Preparing workpapers supporting footnote disclosures and management reporting.
- Coordinating information gathering and validation across the organization.
- Supporting monthly closing activities, focusing on debt, lease, and equity accounting.
- Assisting in maintaining processes behind internal control compliance.
- Evaluating new accounting standards and non-standard transactions.
- Helping with ad-hoc technical accounting issues.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 3+ years of accounting or audit experience.
- Experience applying U.S. GAAP and internal controls.
- Experience with Netsuite is preferred.
- CPA license preferred (or equivalent certification).
