Residential Counselor I/II - Sanderson - Sun/Mon/Tues, AON 8pm-8am

Job Description

WellPower is seeking a Residential Counselor to facilitate activities of daily living, group therapy, and medication monitoring for consumers. The counselor will coordinate treatment, ensure a safe environment, and advocate for individuals with mental illness. This role involves direct service care as part of a multi-disciplinary team.Responsibilities include:

• Providing individual psychotherapy
• Facilitating group therapy sessions
• Coordinating clinical care
• Assessing consumers and providing interventions
• Training consumers in activities of daily living
• Completing intake and discharge tasks
• Maintaining household safety
• Documenting consumer interactions
• Responding to emergencies
• Advocating for individuals with mental illness

Requirements include:

• RC I: Enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in social work, psychology, human services, or related field.
• RC II: Bachelor's Degree in social work, psychology, human services, or related field.
• QMAP (Qualified Medication Administration Person)
• CPR & First Aid
• Physical required
• One year of mental health experience preferred
• Must be 20 years of age
