Risk Analyst

Job Description

Capital on Tap is seeking a Risk Analyst to join their risk analytics team in London. This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days per week in the Shoreditch office. The Risk Analyst will play a central role in innovating and optimising risk-based decision-making across Fraud, Fincrime, Collections, and Disputes, with the goal of minimising credit losses and maximising regulatory compliance.Responsibilities include:

• Owning, monitoring, and optimising fraud detection rules.
• Applying advanced analytics to enhance Financial Crime detection.
• Maximising collections performance through scoring and segmentation.
• Evaluating innovative products and tools from external vendors.
• Championing the use of AI in analytical output and business solutions.

The ideal candidate will have:

• At least three years of risk analysis experience in credit cards, fraud, collections, or fincrime.
• Strong analytical skills with SQL and Python proficiency.
• Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
• A 2.1 or above at degree level, preferably in Economics or a STEM subject.
