Senior Accountant, International Accounting

Twilio is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their International Accounting team. This role is based remotely in Ireland and reports to the Senior Manager, International Accounting in Dublin.

The Senior Accountant will be a key contributor, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of fixed assets, prepayments, accruals, OPEX, and other GL transactions in both US GAAP and Local GAAP. The role is crucial for ensuring the company's compliance with regulatory filings and returns to the authorities. The Senior Accountant will partner with Tax, AP, and Global Accounting teams to improve processes and anticipate accounting impacts.

Responsibilities:

• Own month-end close processes, operational and accounting procedures, and account reconciliation.
• Manage the local International Accounting process with the BPO company.
• Oversee Fixed Asset, Prepayment, and accrual OPEX controls.
• Reconcile Statutory to US GAAP comparison differences.
• Prepare monthly flux analysis of balance sheet and P&L.
• Recommend and implement improvements in internal processes.
• Partner across multiple departments and geographies on global projects.
• Manage compliance and coordinate regulatory filing.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of relevant experience in Accounting and Tax, preferably in a fast-growing Technology company.
• Strong experience in month-end close processes, operational and accounting procedures, and account reconciliation.
• Experience supporting external and Tax audits.
• Good knowledge of IFRS & US GAAP.
• Understanding of Local Statutory to US GAAP comparison differences.
• Good understanding of P2P, O2C, and R2R processes.
• Experience with compliance and regulatory filing.
• Ability to prioritize and work proactively and independently to meet deadlines.
• Team player with strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Professional Accounting qualification is mandatory.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
