Job Description
BitMEX is seeking a Senior IT Security Engineer to join their corporate IT and Security team. This role is based in Hong Kong and involves configuring, supporting, and troubleshooting various IT and Security SaaS platforms. The ideal candidate will implement best practices to harden these platforms and endpoint environments, ensuring the highest levels of security and integrity across BitMEX's systems.

Role involves:
  • Maintaining and improving SaaS applications.
  • Hardening platforms and endpoints.
  • Automating lifecycle management.
  • Reviewing and optimizing network security.
  • Streamlining operational workflows.
  • Administering user accounts and policies.
  • Collaborating on security initiatives.
  • Supporting compliance audits.
  • Providing remote IT support.
  • Researching and implementing technologies.
  • Developing technical documentation.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 14+ years of relevant experience, with at least 8+ years in advanced IT, DevOps, or Security Engineering roles.
  • Experience with SSO/IAM Solutions such as Okta or EntraID.
  • Strong experience with security technologies and concepts such as EDR, DLP, VPN/Proxy services, and logging mechanisms.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and GCP, along with Kubernetes.
  • Proficient in using JAMF and/or other similar Mobile Device Management platforms for macOS and iOS device management.
  • Solid understanding of TCP/IP, routing, DNS, VPNs, and network Access Control Lists (ACLs).
  • Proficiency in programming and infrastructure automation tools like Terraform, Ansible, Bash, Python, etc.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment with a proactive and self-motivated mindset.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer service abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to address security vulnerabilities.
