Job Description
WPP is seeking a Head of Strategy & Portfolio Office to cover a maternity leave. This role is based in London and focuses on leading the effective operation and optimization of the Technology Operations transformation sub-portfolio. The Head of Strategy & Portfolio Office will provide decision support and assurance to the Strategy & Transformation Director.

Role involves:
  • Championing Enterprise Technology Portfolio Global Discipline.
  • Drafting the Technology Operations sub-portfolio strategy and delivery plan.
  • Ensuring the sub-portfolio reflects the goals of Tech Ops Business and Enterprise Technology priorities.
  • Owning the roadmap of technology change for Tech Ops.
  • Analyzing portfolio progress and preparing regular sub-portfolio dashboards and reports.
  • Providing delivery assurance within the Tech Ops transformation scope.
  • Supporting the preparation and administration of Tech Ops sub-portfolio initiatives.
  • Coordinating all ‘transform’ demand into Enterprise Technology governance processes.
  • Supporting the early mobilization of new initiatives and assembling required squads.
  • Monitoring transformation resources within the Cluster Delivery Squad.
  • Maintaining the Tech Ops sub-portfolio cost and benefits forecast.
  • Ensuring Tech Ops Business cases are prepared consistently with Enterprise Technology standards.
  • Establishing and maintaining the Tech Ops sub-portfolio-level RAID register.
  • Coordinating sub-portfolio planning, estimation, and prioritization exercises.
  • Ensuring dependencies are effectively managed and issues escalated.
  • Identifying constraints within the sub-portfolio and working to overcome them.
  • Acting as secretariat for Tech Ops level strategy & transformation governance.
  • Identifying improvements in portfolio management practices.

Requirements:
  • 5-10 years of strategy and portfolio management experience.
  • Excellent knowledge and experience of strategy development and portfolio management.
  • Excellent knowledge and experience in Information Technology Strategic Thinking and Design.
