Analytics Engineer

Job Description

Dialogue is seeking an Analytics Engineer to join their team. This role will report to the VP of Engineering - Platform and will be responsible for bridging the gap between data engineering and business analytics. The ideal candidate will be proficient in SQL, have experience with modern data stacks, and be able to own the end-to-end flow of data from ingestion to insight. The Analytics Engineer will partner with technical and non-technical stakeholders to model, transform, and deliver data that drives key business decisions.

What this role involves:

• Writing complex, performant SQL queries and designing scalable data models
• Building, maintaining, and monitoring data pipelines using orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, dbt)
• Transforming raw data into clean, reliable datasets for analysis and reporting
• Collaborating cross-functionally with data engineers, product teams, and business stakeholders
• Maintaining high standards of data quality and documentation across the stack

Requirements:

• Strong SQL skills – ability to write complex queries and structure data models
• Experience with data pipelines and orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, dbt)
• A solid understanding of data warehousing and modeling concepts
• Basic proficiency in Python for data transformation and scripting
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with both technical and business teams
