Software Engineer 3 - Mobilization

Job Description

PagerDuty is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Mobilization team. The candidate will work on PagerDuty's scheduling platform, a core piece of their business that helps organizations manage human availability and on-call across their teams. This role offers the opportunity to build flexible and extensible scheduling capabilities leveraging agentic AI, a suite of highly available services, scalable databases, and reliable data streams. The Senior Software Engineer will partner with product and design teams on shaping new products and features for customers.Role involves:

• Designing, coding, testing, and shipping backend applications or micro-services, APIs or front-end interfaces, AI Agents.
• Collaborating closely with engineers across teams.
• Participating in your team’s on-call rotation, triaging, and addressing production issues as they arise.

Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience designing, building, and operating large systems with scalability, availability, and performance requirements.
• Development experience working on customer-facing products and web-based systems.
• Demonstrated experience with Java, Python, and React.
• Experience designing & implementing distributed and highly available systems.
