Licensed Optician - Commonwealth Plaza Midwood

Warby Parker is seeking a Licensed Optician for their new store opening in Charlotte, NC. This full-time role involves providing exceptional customer service and helping customers find the perfect eyewear. The Licensed Optician will work directly with customers, take measurements, adjust and fit eyewear, and ensure that finished eyewear meets optical standards and customer requirements. They will also explain prescription terminology and product offerings, collaborate with the team to improve sales and customer service practices, and represent the Warby Parker brand.

Responsibilities:

• Work directly with customers to help meet all of their eyewear needs
• Take and record measurements, adjust and fit eyewear
• Check that finished eyewear meets optical standards and customer requirements
• Explain prescription terminology and product offerings to customers
• Help customers choose the best frames and lenses
• Collaborate with the team to form best practices for sales and customer service
• Represent the brand to educate others

Requirements:

• Licensed dispensing optician (or ABO-certified in non-licensing states)
• Passionate about eyewear and retail
• Clear, effective communicator
• Dedicated to customer satisfaction
• Energetic, positive team player
• Detail-oriented and capable of juggling responsibilities
• Open-minded and constantly learning
• Not on the Office of Inspector General’s List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE)
