Job Description
Warby Parker is seeking a part-time Licensed Optician for their Commonwealth Plaza Midwood location in Charlotte, NC. This role involves providing exceptional customer service and helping customers find the perfect eyewear. The Licensed Optician will be an expert in the brand and glasses, assisting both new and returning customers. They will collaborate with a motivated team and have opportunities for career advancement.

Responsibilities:
  • Work directly with customers to help meet all of their eyewear needs
  • Take and record measurements, adjust and fit eyewear, and execute these details with flawless accuracy
  • Check that our finished eyewear meets our optical standards, as well as customer requirements and requests
  • Explain prescription terminology and product offerings to customers
  • Help customers choose the best frames and lenses based on their prescription needs, face fit, personal style, and lifestyle
  • Collaborate with your team to form best practices for sales and customer service
  • Represent the brand to educate others about its values and mission

Requirements:
  • Licensed dispensing optician in states that require a license (or an ABO-certified optician in non-licensing states)
  • Passionate about the eyewear and retail industries
  • Clear, effective, and professional communicator
  • Dedicated to providing excellent customer service
  • Energetic, positive team player who can adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented and capable of juggling multiple responsibilities
  • Open-minded and constantly learning
  • Takes work seriously, but not themselves
  • Not on the Office of Inspector General’s List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE)
