Job Description

Nubank is seeking a Treasury & Regulatory Senior Lawyer to join its legal team in Mexico City. This role involves providing legal expertise in banking and financial services, ensuring compliance with Mexican laws and regulations. The Senior Lawyer will act as a partner, enabler, and guardian, contributing to Nubank Mexico's growth and influencing the Mexican legal market.Responsibilities:

• Working for financial entities or as advisor to financial entities.
• Handling treasury regulations and transactions of financial entities, specifically banks or sofipos.
• Managing third-party service provider and agency agreements.
• Responding to requests from regulators.
• Handling commercial agreements and financial transactions.

Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience working for or advising financial entities.
• Strong knowledge of Mexican commercial and financial services laws and regulations.
• Experience with treasury regulations and transactions of financial entities.
• Experience with third-party service providers and agency agreements.
• Experience answering requests from regulators.
• Excellent drafting and legal interpretation skills.
• Ability to understand business needs and find solutions.
