Game Data Analyst

Job Description

A Thinking Ape is seeking a Game Data Analyst to join their Data and Player Insights Team. In this role, the analyst will play a crucial part in uncovering insights, shaping product strategy, and optimizing the performance of mobile games. The Game Data Analyst will report directly to the Department Lead.Role involves:

• Developing and enhancing analytics tools and dashboards.
• Analyzing player behavior and game performance.
• Supporting the design and execution of A/B tests.
• Promoting data fluency across the studio.
• Collaborating with designers and live ops managers.
• Partnering with data engineers to support data models and pipelines.
• Building and validating predictive models.

Requirements:

• 3-5+ years of experience in game data analysis.
• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field; advanced degree preferred.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with large-scale datasets.
• Expertise in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
• Proven ability to lead analytical projects and collaborate effectively.
• Strong communication skills for presenting insights.
• Passion for games and a strong understanding of mobile gaming trends.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
