Job Description
Figure is seeking a Staff DevOps Engineer to play a crucial role in architecting, building, and scaling its cloud infrastructure and developer-focused platform tools. Figure is a financial technology firm focused on homeownership and consumer benefits. The ideal candidate will be curious, innovative, and collaborative, helping to power the next generation of direct-to-consumer financial products and drive meaningful change in the industry.
What this role involves:
- Improving work processes by identifying and resolving inefficiencies.
- Building new features and services for internal platforms to ease engineers' tasks.
- Tackling problems with innovative ideas and iterative progress.
- Leading cross-team projects with significant business impact.
- Supporting and mentoring junior engineers.
- Participating in on-call rotations and Slack support.
What we look for:
- 6+ years of experience as a senior or staff DevOps engineer/SRE.
- Experience managing Kubernetes in production environments.
- Proficiency with API gateways such as Kong and Traefik.
- Skilled in Kubernetes configuration management using tools like Helm and Kustomize.
- Experience writing applications and/or utilities with Go.
- Passion for Infrastructure as Code with Terraform or OpenTofu.
- Expertise with observability tooling (e.g., Datadog, Prometheus, ELK stack).
- Experience automating continuous cloud deployments with tools like GitHub Actions and ArgoCD.
- Relentless curiosity and a problem-solving mindset.
