Job Description
Archer, an aerospace company in San Jose, California, is seeking an Engineering Technician - Assembly to support the assembly, integration, and testing of electromechanical systems for their eVTOL aircraft. The technician will play a crucial role in ensuring product quality, troubleshooting issues, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Role involves:
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, and test procedures.
- Assembling mechanical and structural sub-systems.
- Installing and aligning major components.
- Performing functional checks and recording build data.
- Troubleshooting mechanical assembly issues.
- Collaborating with engineering and quality teams.
- Maintaining accurate documentation.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in the aerospace and/or automotive industry.
- Associate’s degree or certification in engineering technology (or 4+ years of experience).
- Solid understanding of mechanical and structural assembly techniques.
- Knowledge of aircraft safety procedures and industry regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and FAA guidelines.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
