Job Description

PlayStation is seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) Contractor to join their team in San Francisco, CA. The ideal candidate will be passionate about test automation and possess a proactive and self-motivated approach. This individual will be responsible for testing new and existing features across multiple platforms and devices, ensuring the quality of automation and test frameworks.

The SDET Contractor will collaborate with a full-stack team and contribute to building systems used by millions of users. PlayStation values both collaboration and technology, striving to remain at the forefront of development technologies.

Role Involves:

  • Planning and completing QE related activities, including building test plans and test cases.
  • Reviewing product requirements and technical design documents.
  • Building, maintaining, and improving test automation frameworks.
  • Developing automated UI and API tests.
  • Reporting, tracking, and verifying defects.
  • Collaborating with distributed teams for test plan design and execution.

Requirements:

  • BS or MS in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in UI automation for web applications.
  • Solid experience writing automated tests in Python, JavaScript, C+, or any other Programming Language.
  • Experience with Selenium or Appium or UI Automation technologies.
  • Knowledge and experience testing APIs (RESTful), Libraries, SDK/Application Frameworks, Native Applications.
  • Experience with at least one modern web application framework, preferably React.
  • Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
