Senior UX Designer, Innovation

Job Description

Sony Interactive Entertainment is seeking a Senior UX Designer to join their Innovation team. The Senior UX Designer will be responsible for identifying opportunities for new SONY products & businesses that would solve user problems across many markets & industries. This role is based in San Mateo, CA, and reports to the Gameplay design team in a hybrid work arrangement.She/He will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ideate and define new product experiences, create innovative user-centered solutions, and proactively seek out new market trends. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in ambiguity and excels at defining new UX patterns and system components.Responsibilities:

• Create innovative products and experiences from vague concepts.
• Identify market trends and generate new product ideas.
• Define new UX patterns and system components.
• Produce multiple UX/UI concepts and iterate on designs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and implement feedback.
• Present designs to stakeholders and leadership.
• Produce detailed specs and assets for implementation.

Requirements:

• BA/BS in Interaction or Product Design, Human Factors, or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of experience building user-centered interactive designs.
• A portfolio showcasing thoughtful and intuitive design.
• Strong communication skills.
• Experience designing products for multiple platforms.
• Expertise with Figma/Sketch & Adobe Creative products.
• Ability to improve and expand upon existing design systems/components.
• Ability to work unsupervised in an agile environment.
