Job Description
VEED.IO is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a highly technical team of engineers. The Engineering Manager will report to a Group Engineering Manager and work closely with the engineering team, other Engineering Managers, and Product Managers. The primary focus of this role is on team well-being and delivery.
What this role involves:
- Leading team organization and coordination.
- Supporting direct reports through guidance and addressing challenges.
- Mentoring engineers and fostering a supportive learning environment.
- Championing engineering excellence and facilitating agile methodologies.
- Collaborating with product management to monitor team objectives and key results.
- Providing insights and forecast project workloads.
- Engaging with stakeholders to capture requirements and ensure alignment.
- Fostering a culture of collaboration across engineering departments.
- Driving personal and professional development initiatives.
Requirements:
- Technically minded with a track record of driving successful tech delivery.
- Experience in managing and growing high-performing teams.
- Hands-on experience managing distributed teams.
- Skilled in hiring and nurturing software engineers.
- Strong communication skills.
- Well-versed in Agile methodologies.
