Senior Software Engineer - Identity and Access Management (f/m/d)

Job Description

Contentful is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Identity and Access Management (IAM) team in Dublin. The ideal candidate will be passionate about building innovative solutions, optimizing processes, and improving scalability while balancing strategic thinking with effective problem-solving. This role involves collaborating with product managers, designers, and engineers to develop industry-leading IAM capabilities for Contentful's customers and internal teams.

The Senior Software Engineer will contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of scalable frontend and backend features. They will also identify and resolve issues quickly to maintain high customer satisfaction and use data analytics to guide product decisions and feature improvements.

Responsibilities include:

• Partnering with product managers, designers, and engineers to develop IAM capabilities.
• Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable frontend and backend features.
• Designing cohesive solutions that consider individual components and the overall user experience.
• Identifying and resolving issues quickly to maintain high customer satisfaction.
• Using data analytics to guide product decisions and feature improvements.
• Participating in shaping the team to enhance ways of working and development processes.

Requirements:

• Proven track record as a Senior Software Engineer in product development.
• Strong proficiency in Ruby, TypeScript/Node.js, relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL), non-relational databases (e.g. dynamoDB), and event-driven systems.
• Working knowledge of major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Strong analytical skills with a track record of developing practical solutions.
• Excellent English communication skills with proven ability to work effectively in collaborative environments.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize tasks in fast-paced settings.
• Experience with continuous development methods (XP experience is beneficial).
• Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership, curiosity and constant learning.
