Job Description

Contentful is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Identity and Access Management (IAM) team. This role is crucial for enhancing Contentful's IAM capabilities, ensuring scalability and security for their platform, which serves billions of requests daily. The ideal candidate will be passionate about building an IAM platform that provides a seamless experience for both internal and external users.

As a Senior Software Engineer at Contentful, he/she will:

  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to develop industry-leading IAM capabilities.
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable frontend and backend features.
  • Design cohesive solutions that consider individual components and the overall user experience.
  • Identify and resolve issues quickly to maintain high customer satisfaction.
  • Use data analytics to guide product decisions and feature improvements.
  • Participate in shaping the team and enhancing development processes.

Contentful requires following from candidate:

  • Proven track record as a Senior Software Engineer in product development.
  • Strong proficiency in Ruby, TypeScript/Node.js, relational and non-relational databases, event-driven systems, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Working knowledge of major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Strong analytical skills with a track record of developing practical solutions.
  • Excellent English communication skills and ability to work effectively in collaborative environments.
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize tasks in fast-paced settings.
  • Experience with continuous development methods.
  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and curiosity.
