Job Description
Guidepost Montessori is seeking a Lead Toddler Spanish Teacher for their school in South Naperville, Illinois. The Lead Guide will support a mixed-age class of toddler-age children in a Montessori environment. The role involves preparing an environment that fosters independence and captivates a child’s interest, providing personalized support, and working with children individually and in small groups.
  • Observing each child to understand their needs
  • Preparing an orderly environment
  • Cultivating independence and self-confidence
  • Providing lessons to encourage practical life skills, language, and grace and courtesy
  • Forming personal connections with each child
  • Communicating and collaborating with parents
An ideal candidate:
  • Is interested in pursuing Montessori training or has a Montessori diploma
  • Has experience working with children ages 0-3
  • Is familiar with child-led philosophies
  • Has 12 Early Childhood Education (ECE) or Child Development credits
  • Has earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Child Development, ECE, or a related subject
  • Is fluent or native in Spanish
