Guidepost Montessori in South Naperville is seeking a Lead Toddler Teacher to foster growth and independence in a prepared Montessori environment. The Lead Guide will support a mixed-age class of toddler children, preparing an environment that fosters independence and captivates a child’s interest. They will provide personalized support, working with children individually and in small groups, demonstrating how to use materials, and giving precise language to understand their experiences.Role involves:

• Observing each child to understand their needs.
• Preparing an orderly environment that fosters trust and independence.
• Cultivating independence and self-confidence.
• Providing lessons to encourage practical life skills and language development.
• Forming personal connections with each child and cultivating a community of respect.
• Communicating and collaborating respectfully with parents.

An ideal candidate:

• Is interested in pursuing certified Montessori training or has a Montessori diploma.
• Has experience working with children ages 0-3 in a group setting.
• Is familiar with child-led philosophies or open to learning more.
• Has 12 Early Childhood Education (ECE) or Child Development credits.
• Has earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Child Development, ECE, or a related subject.
