Network Security Data Scientist (Corelight Labs)

Corelight Labs is seeking a Network Security Data Scientist to contribute to the development of threat detection models and LLM applications for network security. The successful candidate will work with network security experts and machine learning engineers to leverage data from tools like Zeek, Suricata, and Yara to enhance Corelight's AI/ML product offerings. Corelight is fastest growing network detection and response platform in the industry.

Role involves:

• Contributing to all stages of AI/ML projects.
• Building agentic applications and customizing LLMs.
• Creating models for behavioral detection of TTPs.
• Evaluating and refining algorithms against data-at-scale.
• Implementing scalable AI/ML pipelines.
• Participating in technical discussions and collaborating with other teams.
• Authoring materials to share network security insights.

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience in data science or LLM applications with a focus on cybersecurity.
• Strong data science skills and a proven track record.
• Understanding of practical networking, security, and their intersection.
• Experience in Python and data science libraries and tools.
• Experience in LLM frameworks.
• Excellent communication skills.
