Job Description

FREENOW is seeking a General Manager for its German operations. This role involves overseeing the company's business in Germany and Austria, with a focus on strategic development, market positioning, and P&L responsibility. The General Manager will report to the Regional General Manager and will be responsible for driving service expansion and market presence.

The General Manager will champion the FREENOW vision locally, advocate for all customer segments and drive service expansion and market presence through engagement with regulators and key industry stakeholders.

Role Involves:

  • Planning and delivery of P&L and KPI targets.
  • Identifying and developing new revenue streams.
  • Implementing operational planning and financial control systems.
  • Optimising daily operations, including balancing supply and demand.
  • Cultivating relationships with key external stakeholders.
  • Representing the German market within central functions.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience leading senior teams with direct P&L ownership.
  • Strong social and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical mindset focused on continuous improvement.
  • Extensive experience in sales, marketing, and commercial negotiations.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable navigating ambiguity.
  • Deep understanding of technology-driven marketplaces.
  • Native or near-native (C2) German level and at least a C1 level in English
