Contract Frontend Engineer (React/CSS)

Job Description

YLD, a software engineering and design consultancy, is seeking a Contract Frontend Engineer to join their team. The role is remote within the EU and focuses on building and delivering software within interesting projects. The engineer will work in an Agile environment (Scrum) with a test-first mindset, pair programming, and code reviews.

Role Involves:

• Building and delivering software within interesting projects.
• Working in an Agile environment (Scrum).
• Pair programming and code reviews.

Requirements:

• Commercial experience with React and Node.
• In-depth knowledge of CSS (Tailwind, CSS in JavaScript, CSS Modules, etc.).
• Experience with Component composition and state management (MobX, Redux, Context, etc.).
• Knowledge of transpiling, bundling, and packaging ecosystem (esbuild, vite, yarn, turborepo, etc).
• Experience with documentation generation tools.
• Experience with linting and formatting tools.
• Experience with Continuous Integration and Delivery, as well as Infrastructure as Code tools.
• Experience in testing with Unit, Integration, End to End, and Visual Regression tests.
• Experience with design tools (e.g. Figma) and its API and integration tools.
• Extensive experience working with Design Systems.
• Knowledge of Typescript.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and detail-oriented.
• Good communicator.
• Analytical and problem-solving oriented.
