Principal Security Researcher

Forter is seeking a Principal Security Researcher to join its Cyber R&D team in Tel Aviv. This role focuses on conducting both low and high-level research on browsers. The successful candidate will work on Forter's Javascript SDK, which operates on a massive scale, collecting digital intelligence data to combat fraud while maintaining performance and privacy.

Responsibilities:

• Lead browser and web research initiatives.
• Design and build advanced data collection features in the SDK.
• Take ownership of the entire data flow process.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Analytics, and Product teams.
• Act as a technical authority on browser technologies.
• Ensure the SDK remains safe, stable, and effective.

Requirements:

• 7+ years of research or development experience with modern technologies.
• Proven track record in applied technical research.
• Understanding of Cloud services, AWS, Kubernetes.
• Experience working in large-scale production environments.
• Strong grasp of Computer Systems fundamentals.
• Basic data querying and analysis skills.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• A go-to person mindset.
• Curiosity and a passion for solving complex problems.
• Creative thinking and a fresh approach to challenges.
• A team-oriented mindset and love for collaboration.

Bonus points:

• Deep knowledge of Web technologies.
• Hands-on experience with Web and browser research.
• Familiarity with AdBlockers.
• Experience working with non-mainstream browser APIs.
