Job Description
2U is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst III to join their team in Cape Town. This role involves constructing data models and visualizations to support analytics, analysis, and data modeling. The analyst will generate data-driven insights to advance the company's objectives and inform operational decision-making. This senior position entails mentoring junior team members and influencing project direction.
Responsibilities Include:
- Cleansing and verifying data integrity.
- Exhibiting best coding practices and adeptness in dashboard design.
- Analyzing data to deliver data-driven insights.
- Visualizing data insights and communicating findings.
- Engaging in data engineering tasks to optimize data pipelines.
- Leading and delivering projects.
- Supporting and mentoring analysts.
- Collaborating with other analysts and stakeholders.
- Leveraging business knowledge to enhance business performance.
- Helping guide business when making technical decisions.
- Performing research and staying on top of industry trends.
- Proactively seeking opportunities for improvement through ongoing learning.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Data Analytics, Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in business intelligence, data visualization, or analytics.
- Tableau certification (preferred).
- Skilled in business intelligence, data analysis, and analytics engineering.
- Advanced understanding of SQL and Data Visualization.
- Advanced understanding of Apache Airflow, DBT, and APIs.
- Skilled understanding of version control.
- Experience with data modeling tools, such as dbt.
